cool indies

last night, i went to the CCP to attend the gala opening of the 1st cinemalaya digital filmfest. i love the energy of the arts. and CCP looks darn good with the right lighting, mood music, etc. the air was abuzz with the youthful enthusiasm and hope of everyone there. they premiered the short films in competition, including my friend, pam's "blood bank", which stars our friend rose, and for which i did production management. we shot this almost a year ago. it was nice to see it on the big screen. and my name up there too. all the short films in competition stirred up in me, once again, that passion for filmmaking. i'm so happy for the finalists.
afterwards, we had a reunion for some of the crew, and some of pam's friends. with photo ops to boot.

then, we went over to dencio's, just across from the CCP side entrance.
