"love is in the air" for several people i know...getting married and getting engaged... i went to my former officemates' marla and vhoie's wedding the other week. as nanie said, we witnessed the blossoming of that relationship, as they met in our former office, until it closed and we went our separate ways... but they stayed together somehow and are now based in saipan. it was a bit of a surprise that they were coming home to get married. good thing i was in manila at the time. it was a Christian wedding entirely in filipino. no doubt i'm pinoy--every word felt more poignant because it was in my language. i even got teary-eyed at some parts!

it was also a chance to catch up with some, sadly, not all, officemates. i had forgotten how i looked all those years ago, til they all gushed about how i've slimmed down (more than 1 person used the word "sexy" haha! eeww!) and someone asked "since when have you been wearing dresses?". it was fun, and i needed the "excursion" to not-so-far-away cavite.
