something to smile about

i sent a text to my former boss, back when i was a part-time copywriter for a PR/events firm. i needed contact info for one of their clients. interestingly, he mentioned that he read my articles in manila standard today, and asked if that was indeed me. i said that it was. his exact text: congratulations, you've come a long way.
it's just so nice that he actually reads my articles, and i suppose in a way, is proud of me. i'm glad i have never "burned bridges", as my dad says. that episode put a smile on my face.
