circumstances, coincidences

life works out in a funny way.
i was checking my friendster account the other night, and chanced upon the account of one of my friends from pre-teens, who i had not seen since high school graduation. i started wondering what she could be up to now, and contemplated sending her a message. but my laziness got the better of me, so i didn't.
the next day, i received an email from a high school classmate, cathy (who was my classmate for 4 solid year), she's now based in california. she asked me if i knew her friend, who worked in the same company as i did. being the anti-social, myopic that i am, of course, i didn't. although his name was familiar.
so yesterday, as i was cleaning up my emails, i decided to email cathy's friend to ask what department he was in, etc. i didn't receive any reply. but at around 1pm, my friend kat (manalo--she's on TV, early-risers! hehe!!) asked if i wanted to get lunch. as we chatted on our way out of the office, i asked her if she knew cathy's friend, pau, and she said that she did. and even better, he was standing a few feet away talking to another officemate, pao! hahaha! :D sorry, just found that really funny!
so kat introduced me to pau, and we found out how each knew cathy. (he, from college, me, from grade school and high school) he asked: "so, kulasa ka?" and i asked "is that a good thing or a bad thing?" and he said "it's a good thing. my girlfriend's a kulasa." and guess who it was? "si rachel del rosario." OH MY GOSH! that was the friend on friendster i had wondered about! such a small world!!!
so we shared some stories, then i asked him to send me her email. and he also said that they would be seeing each other that night.
had a great lunch with kat at chef di angelos (did i spell that right?). it was my first time to eat there. i'll be coming back. although... the service wasn't that great.:(
when i got back to the office, i immediately emailed rachel. and she replied. and we made a date to get together very soon.
things really work out funny.
