pinoy movies galore

I think I had an overdose of quizons yesterday. In order not to repeat my lazy episode yesterday, early on, I decided to leave the house early so I could actually watch at least one film at “cinemalaya”. I got to CCP at exactly 130pm, so I had to run to the box office, wait for the really nitpicky guy in front of me to finish, then finally bought my ticket and rushed into the huseng batute. I watched “diliman” by mes de guzman. He’s a writer in tagalog. It’s an hour-and-a-half long black-and-white film starring cris villanueva and ronnie quizon. One of the cinematographers is a photographer I’ve worked with: bahaghari. Great cinematography, especially of the outdoor shots of and from the roof.
After “cinemalaya”, I rushed over to watch “pinoy/blonde” in robinson’s place ermita. I’ve been looking forward to watching it for a while. And it’s such ewye candy! Of course, that’s starring epy and boy2 quizon, with a cameo by vandolph. That part is one of the funniest. There are a multitude of cameos, that are mostly tongue-in-cheek. I’ve seen some negative reviews, but I personally like the balance of witty and deep. My answer to one of the questions whose thread is throughout the film? Wow, Bernal, ‘tol!
