and finally we come to baguio
the culmination of our trip was baguio. baguio is and will always be my own little place where I love to sleep, dream, wake up, breathe, drink large cups of coffee, eat and eat and eat, walk, mag-palengke, bargain at ukay-ukay. Only requisite thing I wasn’t able to do this time was eat strawberries. Have to go back soon for that. the last time i was there was 4 or 5 years ago. since then, it was replaced as the #1 place on my list by boracay, then siargao. but now, it's back at #1. i love it! wouldn't mind living and working there at all.
fun at igorot stairs:

breathtaking view from our hotel:

of course, the baguio cathedral:

i took it as a sign that during breakfast the day before in vigan, i read about casa vallejo in the starweek sunday magazine. so i had to take a picture there:

we ate at some of the requisite places: cafe by the ruins, pnky. here's a photo of the yummy kamote bread at cafe by the ruins.

sorry, didn't have time to take a photo of the honeycured bacon with eggs and pandesal that i had. i just attacked it on sight!
yummy pnky desserts

"uhh, waiter, there's something in my water..."

we walked down session road several times, i paid a visit to the baguio oble, went to the palengke (where i would willingly go to regularly for market day), toured camp john hay, peered into baguio country club. i didn't go to the other tourist sites like mines view, mansion, or wright park anymore. after all, i just wanted to feel the cold of baguio in and around me. next time, we're definitely making it to trinidad for the succulent strawberries and to walk among the flowers!
