eating and eating and eating

i have never attended so many work-related Christmas parties in my life!
first, wednesday morning, my 830 am class threw a Christmas-belated Birthday party (for me). it was potluck, i brought cake. we had palabok, bread, fruit salad, lechon manok, and they even prepared games!
lunchtime the next day was the college faculty and staff Christmas party, where we had to be in costume (i came as avril, of course!) and brought exchange gifts. we had lots of food! salads, kare-kare, lechon manok, liempo, pansit, tokwa't baboy, cream puffs, key lime pie (divine!!!). i got a very useful gift.

oh, and our dean, who just arrived from thailand, gave us all bags with a shakespearean quote, and this cool card (i love the design on mine--for my ever-growing "asian nook").

lunchtime again, the next day, was the university-wide service awards and Christmas party for faculty and staff. faculty from our college sat together, and i sat across the artist, darnay demetillo, who retired just last month! we had a fish, chicken, pork, and beef dish + buko pandan for dessert. that night was the Pasiklaban, the Christmas party spearheaded by the students, and we also had a fish, chicken, and pork beef dish + cream puffs.
good thing i was disciplined enough through it all to stick to the chicken and fish. but i couldn't resist the sweets! for fab key lime pie, o mai khan!!!:D
