the woodsman

just watched the woodsman the other day. i love this line:
"uncommon beauty is commonly overlooked".
having said that, let me rave about kevin bacon's acting. he plays the role of an ex-con pedophile trying to live a new life and escape his demons. he plays the role wonderfully, reflecting many nuances on his smooth, bony face. the line he repeats several times: "will i ever be normal?" is so loaded with meaning every single time.
the story shows the struggles we all have to face in confronting and finally dealing with the demons of our past. and how we're all wounded but continue to walk in this world.
