hanging out, catching up
for the last few nights, i've been having dinner with friends to catch up on each other's lives. i realize baguio is my home now too. i have friends here whom i miss, and i love hearing about what they've been up to, and telling them how i've been. there have been a lot of changes in my life recently--changing ideas, changing paradigms.
last night, i had dinner with a friend i hadn't seen since end of march. we talked for almost 3 hours at bliss cafe. as we were winding down, i chatted with the chef, shanti, who's really very yogi. jim, the co-owner, always needs to be reminded who i am, though. that's ok, no biggie. they introduced us to gari, whose photo exhibit is mounted at bliss for the month. turns out we have a lot of common friends. we talked about photographing kids, making short films, and living in baguio. i realized i'm now on the "other side": encouraging people not from baguio but who love it, to follow their bliss and relocate here. i hear people say: wow, buti ka pa! or ang tapang mo naman!
i don't know how long i'm here for, but i'm determined to love every moment.

i think its best that you got more homes to come home to right?! More 'families' and friends ^__^
