might as well
i haven't blogged about this because i thought it was going to go away. but it hasn't so...let me start at the beginning...
nanie and cely visited me last week, on their way to and then back from, sagada. i was contemplating joining them, but something came up at work. anyway, when they came in around 3 am from manila, it was quite uneventful, aside from our catching-up-to-speed, and then, their ooh-ing and ahh-ing about my new 'do.
their first night in sagada, i received a semi-lucid text that contained something like "we've found the guy for you", along with other statements i didn't quite understand. whatever.
then, when they returned, we went out to wow for some korean food, and that's when they dropped the bomb.
to be fair, they let me get halfway through lunch first.
so, my wonderful (both literally and, i was to find out, ironically) friends had met these guys in sagada (as girls often do), and decided that they would set me up with one of the guys. that was what the text was about. this gave me pause. no, a full-stop, more like. so imageine them, all chatty and excited, and me on the other side of the table, almost unblinking.
eventually, i recovered and tried to dissuade them. until finally, hours later (i'm saying hours because all throughout our walk down session, browsing DVDs in porta vaga, and ride back to my house, this was the topic), i just decided to give up and let them enjoy it. after all, we didn't know if the guy had a girlfriend, so no prob.
as they texted and emailed and chatted with me over the next few days, i decided there was no harm, if ever. we could end up friends at the very least. well, just the other day, apparently, he was asked and agreed to the set-up. uh-oh. well, now they're pretty much busy thinking and talking about it. me? i'm just going to go with it. wherever, whenever, whatever. hehe! come what may, right?
