laz-y sunday

i was determined to just laze around the house sunday, dvd marathon-ing. i just went out of the house to go to mass and buy bread. i was in lazy mode, but had to rush to school at 3 pm because we had a free concert and i had to meet the TV crew who would cover it. i enjoyed the concert, but wasn't in much of a sitting-and-watching mood, more of lying-in-bed mood. but since i was already out, i decided to do some grocery shopping. not a very good idea. never again will i venture to shop at the grocery on a sunday--it was pure chaos! like a jollibee or mcdonald's on a saturday. every square foot of space had at least one screaming/crying/lumbering child. i'm sorry, but children should be behaved and disciplined in public places. after doing my groceries, i moseyed over to the SM activity center where one of my students last sem, yan-yan was hosting this dance contest. i only mean to peep in and see how he was doing, but the throng of people kept me from moving from my spot. so i decided to stay til the end of the programme and congratulate yan-yan on a job well done. turns out it was his birthday the next day, so we went to dinner, joined by another student, andet, who we came across as we were walking out of SM.
it was great catching up on each other's lives, hearing them complain about thesis and classes, and planning how we'd spend time after finals. hopefully, we'll get to do that. it was a great pick-me-upper, despite things "not going according to plan".
