LSS

well, not quite last-song-syndrome, but i haven't been able to get these songs out of my mind (nor from repeating over and over on my iTunes):
yellow by coldplay from the wicker park soundtrack
the blower's daughter by damien rice from the closer soundtrack
and
smile by tamia

it was pretty easy to get a copy of "yellow" (i'm playing the acoustic version right now). but the other two, not so. i scoured the internet for info on "closer" to find out the title of that song that plays as jude law and natalie portman's characters first meet in the movie. finally, when i got the info, i asked an officemate to download the mp3 from his PC at home.
tamia's song was harder to track down because i initially didn't know who sang it, nor the title. i just kept on hearing it on my sister's radio (she listens to either jam or wave), so i searched google by typing two lines from the refrain. thankfully, i found out the title and singer. but everyone i knew who had tamia's songs, only had "officially missing you" or "into you". in an act of desperation, i walked to the nearest record bar and bought her CD. i can tell you, i slept very soundly that night. and the other songs in the CD made the purchase worth it.
