i fell in love
i watched "cars" the other night, and couldn't help but be touched by the scene where sally and lightning look out at the horizon, over the interstate. i can't help but empathize with how sally felt. i don't have one specific point in baguio that i favor above all. but every time i look at the horizon, it always makes me smile. i love how the cloud formations change, i love how sometimes i can see as far as mt. sto. tomas, i love how the sky is so blue. i love the landscape of baguio. yup, that's how i feel about this place: in love. not just with the city, but with other parts of the region. the undulating mountains of benguet, the abounding rice terraces of MP. and of course, the weather is the best. the particular kind of cold that cannot be duplicated by the AC...that lets us walk around in boots, scarves, trenchcoats without being called pretentious. because baguio and pretention don't mix. and i love it all the more because of that.
